Two Souls One Chai - Our Story
When my husband, Umair and I met back in 2018, we instantly clicked because we had the same vision and purpose in life. Our philosophy was simple - we wanted to add value into people’s lives.
Chai time is probably one of our favourite ways of spending time together. This is where we get to talk about life, our visions and things above and beyond us. Undoubtedly, there have been times when one of us would go,
“Wow. This is really valuable. More people need to hear this.”
That’s how the idea of starting something of our own began. It has been almost 2 years since we first started work on this. We kept going back and forth. One moment there was an idea, the other moment it didn’t make sense at all. We were stuck.
Overtime, we realised that the problem was that we were trying to work under a rigid “business model.” It’s only recently that we realised that our aim was never to create a “business” or to “sell” a lifestyle. Rather, it was to share value-added knowledge that can guide others into living a better life.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (SWT) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)." [Muslim]
We realised that we have a social responsibility to share the right knowledge, one that can continue to benefit others even after we leave. Simply put, our purpose is to share life and self-development advice in the form of podcasts, videos, and articles for free.
Along the way, if all works well for us, Inshallah (if Allah wills it), we will also be creating resources and tools that have helped us in our growth and can in turn also benefit you all.
Here’s hoping that you all give us a chance to share our insights. Also, we would love for this to be an interactive experience for everyone, so feel free to contact us and drop your questions or simply your thoughts with us.
So what are we waiting for? Grab a cup of chai (or your choice of beverage, haha), sit back, relax and enjoy this journey called, “Two Souls One Chai,” with us.
With love,
Rabail and Umair Khan
